I have worked with women and taught couples for 7 years as my only occupation - I am a professional in this field and this is not a side-show to my day job. I have worked in conjunction with other teachers and therapists (e.g. psychotherapists). My influences come mainly from research in my work, from extensive exploration in my personal life and from several deeply knowledgeable masters of Tantric sexuality.

My journey into Eastern philosophies and spiritual disciplines began at the age of 14 when I felt I had to find some meaning and explored everything I could from the books I read, courses I attended and teachers I found. My family travelled a lot and, geographically, I was exposed to many of the great Eurasian traditions to draw on.

On this background of my spiritual growth, at the age of 18 I began noticing something curious in my relationships with women. They confessed that sexual intimacy with me was something unique, deeply positive and therapeutic, unusual for guys of my age.

I was wondering about it when I met my first teacher, while travelling in South America in my early twenties. She was a true master of Tantric sexuality who led a reclusive life in South American wilderness and she shared her wisdom very personally. I spent quite a long time with her, she helped me make sense of this phenomenon in me, understand how to use it consciously, and she opened to me the mysteries of Tantric intimacy between men and women.

That was when this innate aptitude in my personal life became my profession. I got back to UK with determination to use this knowledge to help others. I had a theraputic massage practice at the time (Qualified from the Crimean Medical State University) and I began doing Tantric massages for some of my clients. By 2003 my Tantric massages were succesful enough to let me dedicate myself to this as a full-time profession.

I have been working as a Tantric guide full-time for 7 years. Over these 7 years I have been constantly refining and expanding my Tantric Massage, learning from experience, researching through reality of working directly with the body. It has become more than just a healing or sensual exploration sesion, it has evolved into a direct way to show you and teach you how you can walk into sexual happiness on your own. My practice has been the main way of seeing what is real, what really works as opposed to what just sounds like a desirable theory. I have had all kinds of clients and situations in my studio, many of which were a challenge to approach for any professional.

For several years now I have also been working with couples to teach the ways of Tantric intimacy. My understanding is not just in female sexuality - it is also about the man and my work is always about both.

Over these years I have also been influenced by various masters of Tantric sexuality. I do not hold in high regard the majority of Tantric sexuality teachers, workshops and books well-established in the West as I see too little reality and essence in them. I have sought for a more genuine kind of a teacher and I have had the good fortune of finding several modest and away-from-the-hype knowledgeable masters who helped me develop further as a Tantric guide.

Tantra is the way of experience, not academics, so learning from my own personal love life has been a major part of my understanding. I think it has to be the main source of knowledge for any sexuality guide. I am grateful for it to every woman with who I talked through her body and her mind and what I know now is not academics - it is my observations from innumerable experiences in daily life and with all kinds of people. I am now in a relationship with my long-term partner with who we have discovered a great deal in the Tantric dimension, and I draw on this experience a lot too.

I dedicated myself to the exploration of Tantric sexuality in every way possible and without reservations. It turned out, however, that formal certification or literature in this area are only good as an additional curiosity, and the only way to real understanding is personal and professional experience.

A few years ago, while spending a few months learning from a Tantric Master in Russia, I met Anastacea through him. She has been an amazing source of inspiration, I can call her one of the very rare true masters of Tantric sexuality and one of my teachers. For the past few years I have been working closely wtith her and she is now helping me with consultations for women. Since she works with men we complement each other, we always exchange our opinions on things and it helps us to get a more complete picture.

My Qualifications

There is no such thing as a qualification in Tantric sexuality, so don't look for it when you browse through websites. Look for what people say and talk to them on the phone to get an idea. It is indeed possible to get a certificate as a Tantra facilitator or something along those lines which looks good when people then advertise to help others in sex lives. In reality, those certificate courses tend to be a loose assortment of New Age ideas that doesn't equip people to work with sexuality in reality. People come into this field from all walks of life and the only real qualification is their natural talent, experience and professional growth. Naturally, a background in therapy or massage is helpful, but it doesn't qualify anyone.

This is an unregulated field and there are no accrediting bodies. It is not because no one has got round to standartising it yet, it is because sexuality is impossible to put into boxes like this. To work as a Tantric sexuality guide, especially on the bodily level, a very special aptitude and sensitivity is needed, even a gift, and many years of growth, learning and experience. Just listening to revered gurus or learning about it intellectually doesn't get you far. A Tantric Master doesn't get "trained", a Tantric Master grows through his own life and passion.

Be wary also of banners that show membership of one Tantra association or another. They don't mean much. Most of the time membership is given if you can pay the fee, whoever you are. If you want you can even create your own association, register it and call yourself the Head Office. It doesn't make you any more qualified - again, this is an unregulated field.

The only people whose qualifications and associations are regulated are traditional sex therapists. However, the state of modern sex science is something that leaves a lot to be desired - the approach, the methodology, the bias - and while you may get to see a qualification there is very little this qualification usually gives people in their sexual happiness. Any qualified sex therapist or psychotherapist doesn't have an extra aptitude to work with the sublime dimensions of Tantric sexuality. If they were to move into this field they would have to start from zero, or perhaps even spend time changing their mindset first.

Looking for a professional Tantric guide is like looking for a dating advice doctor or a spirit healer - it may well be that some quirky establishment will run a course but the real specialists are just good at it and have dedicated themselves to this for years.

My own qualification is this:

- over 7 years of experience in working with people on the practical level, creating that Tantric sexuality for real with my touch, not just talking about it, professionally and as my only occupation - not a "part-time income".
- an honour of having spent considerable time with several genuine and deeply knowledgeable but modest Tantric Masters during my travels and in my work.
- vast personal experience, my knowledge has been confirmed in real life with many women to who I am grateful for connecting intimately with me, and I don't teach anything I have no first-hand experience of.

I don't see how anyone can teach without extensive personal and professional experience in sexuality itself. It always surprises me that many sex experts - Tantric or not - put scientifc knowledge or "spiritual training" above all else and mention their own sexual experience as something secondary. I have been pure and I carried a sense of higher purpose always, but to me it is only common sense that if you really want to know about sex as a professional who helps different people you need to go into it to learn from experience - and in a great variety of situations.

Everything else is peripheral. I have a good knowledge of sexual anatomy and physiology from my training as a medical massage therapist. I am studying Pyschotherapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to add it for some of my clients. I am as familiar with all the scientific research as any qualified sex therapist and the stuff that is taught in many of the Tantra Facilitator courses is far back in my past as a professional. But none of that is what is central to any Tantric guide.

Why I do This

Another question that always comes up is "Why do you do this?". Do I just like touching naked women, like many of the other less genuine people on the internet? Sure, I love touching a naked woman. I love making her feel loved, I really enjoy giving her my touch, I love seeing her glow, I love that her body is finally getting what it has yearned for, I find any woman beautiful when I touch her, no matter her age or looks. Should I touch her with medical precision, detached and objective? Is this what she would prefer?

The question of why I should be doing this job never comes up for me any more. I was born with a gift and I was helped to discover how to use it. This is my purpose in life, this is what I am. Many of my clients tell me that what I give is important and unique and sometimes I change their lives. I couldn't do this more in any other area.

I also believe that the right vision of sexuality is very important for the happiness of many people and for our growth as a collective consciousness, and I see a chance to apply my gifts to help. This gives me incedible fulfilment and joy.

I am in a beautiful relationship with my partner. We are deeply in love and we have the most amazing Tantric sex of my life which lets me bring more and more knowledge to people. There is nothing more I could be looking for. She believes in what I do and she supports me fully, because she can relate to women's issues. My job doesn't rob her of anything. Because I have her I have more love to give during my massages, and because I do these massages I have more love to bring to her.
