However, before finding out how to lose your inhibitions during sex the fist question that has to be asked – are you genuinely inhibited or maybe your inhibitions are not actually inhibitions – maybe it is self-respect that comes from common sense, or even plain good taste!
These days the values of sex have gone into crazy grounds. There are lots of practices, more and more extreme, that are becoming mainstream and expected of sexual partners.
Granted, it can all be good clean fun if this is what you are into. But this is precisely the point – what if you are not into it. Does it really mean you have to be striving to be more “uninhibited in sex”?
What if you believe that sex to you is about mutual respect, clarity, honesty of attraction just as you are, maybe you feel it is about tenderness and sharing some love through the body. Maybe for you it is a sublime or even spiritual experience.
Maybe you want to express the best of yourself as a loving human being rather than the most animal and primal. Who has a right to call this “inhibitions in sex”? It is just a personal take on things.
These days porn serves as the model. Yet in porn everything is staged to satisfy the fast food of male sexual psyche, the darkest places where women are dominated and used. They serve their men on screen, certainly very uninhibited in sex. Yet they are not real women, it is all staged. Then men expect that from real women and if they don’t get it there is that statement that the woman is inhibited in sex and she has to lose her inhibitions during sex.
Granted, sometimes women can get very nervous and they can’t let go of into even normal loving sex to enjoy it. Sometimes there is a true inhibition to a normal act of lovemaking and there are ways to lose your inhibitions.
But often she just wants to make love and somewhere she just respects herself enough, she finds it odd to be playing someone’s toy or reenact something.
